Our Museum wins Best Sporting Venue at the School Travel Awards
The World Rugby Museum took on strong competition to win 2018/2019 Best Sporting Venue at the School Travel Awards last week. Other organisations short-listed for the prize included: The Learning Zone at Wembley Stadium; Lord's Tour & MCC Cricket Academy; Manchester United Museum & Stadium Tour; and Snozone.
The School Travel Awards, organised by School Travel Organiser magazine, acknowledge those who excel in providing exciting and educational trips for schools. The Best Sporting Venue award celebrates the best in learning outside the classroom, recognising organisations that go above and beyond to engage children with sport.
After an off-site educational visit, schools have the opportunity to vote in the School Travel Awards to recognise exceptional visits. An award voted for by the schools themselves, the School Travel Awards are held in high esteem, making the World Rugby Museum's Best Sporting Venue win a significant accolade for the Museum and its commendable Education programme.
